Moon Lilly Mobiles
Jan Carson’s mobiles are a line she created of popular kinetic sculptures. They are reminders of the outdoors for those who garden, hike or otherwise interact with the elements. Each mobile is suspended in a state of free yet limited motion, as well as circular movement. Her mobiles are representations of Japanese maple leaves, aspen leaves, and other natural elements of the earth. In 2002, Jan was a finalist for the prestigious NICHE Award, honoring excellence and innovation in American and Canadian Craft.

Tempest in a Teapot
Barbara Ryan and Elsa Mikus are the brains and talents behind this company. Determined never to go to an office again, Barbara eagerly took on making chimes. She uses glorified junk or even recycled history, making the gift for someone “who has everything.” All of the sugars, creamers, teapots and silverware used in the chimes come from a local New Jersey/Pennsylvania flea markets and auctions. Customers are welcome to provide their own heirloom flatware, teapots, etc., so they have personalized pieces of history hanging in their homes. Currently, Tempest in a Teapot chimes can be found in homes and galleries from Juneau, Alaska to Geneva, Switzerland and in a lot of homes in New Jersey.

Ian Michaels
Ian’s work reflects the biographical theme throughout the human condition. Ian tries to capture on canvas and paper the emotions and moods he is feeling at that time. He has always been an avid reader and writer and enjoys combining both in his art. Each canvas is created using a European technique adding plaster to the canvas, then each panel is hand painted and drawings are created in charcoal and pastel. A tinted oil glaze and varnish completes the piece. Ian resides in Atlanta. |
