THE BIG PICTURE workshop [workshop]

JOAN LEVY
Saturday-Sunday, February 7-8
10:00am-4:00pm

Many people feel that working large is too scary and too difficult. This class will give you the opportunity to try it with guidance and confidence, stretch out and expand your boundaries, and it will be fun! You will draw with charcoal on large paper (minimum dimension will be 48 inches cut from paper roll), mounted on a large board and easel. Drawing on this scale is a physical workout for the body, and a challenge for the eyes and mind to take command of form and space.

"The big picture" will teach you how to focus on the physical reality of the drawing and improve your perception and skills on smaller works. This class will be limited to 6 people due to the space-so sign up now for this stimulating, vigorous, indoor winter activity! The Guilford Art Center will provide the paper, students will bring large sticks of soft vine charcoal and a "magic rub" eraser.

Tuition $203.00
Members $178.00
