Guilford Art Center announces its 2008 summer youth program SummerArt: Exploring Our World, June 23 - August 15. SummerArt is an eight-week art enrichment program for students ages 4 to 12, designed to develop creative expression and artistic skills. Week-long morning sessions are organized thematically, with students creating projects in a variety of media. Afternoon classes and workshops offer students an additional variety of art activities to choose from.

Morning Program and afternoon classes may be taken separately, or combined to make a full-day program.

Morning Program
Week 1, June 23-27: Artful Tales - tell stories with art
Week 2, June 30-July 3: Another Angle, amazing connections between art and math.
Week 3, July 7-11: Build It ! You be the architect!
Week 4, July 14-18: Viva la France! Its Customs, Festivals and Art
Week 5, July 21-25: Fantastic Heroes, Creatures & Tales - the magical, mythical world of fantasy!
Week 6, July 28-Aug 1: Journey Along the Nile - art of African countries
Week 7, Aug 4-8: "Jewel of the Earth": The Amazon Rainforest
Week 8, Aug 11-15: Great Artists, Great Art - what makes them great?
