WEEK 8: AUG 11-15
Great Artists, Great Art
What makes a work of art "great?" Is it skill or how the work makes us think? How do we develop our own visual guidelines? Take a close look at artists and their work to see the exciting ways they developed unique styles and what influences changed the way they looked at the world. Check out the folk paintings of Grandma Moses, the rounded sculpture of Henry Moore, Romare Bearden's collages, and Keith Haring's active figures made with bold lines and primary colors. Use these artists' techniques to develop your own style of art! |
